Elegance on Beechwood - 2007

SECOND FLOOR CORRIDOR Raymond Dortenzo Design Associates 3266 Ward St., #12, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, 412-980-4912Designer: Raymond Dortenzo Details: Experience a hallway that captures the beauty reminiscent of a Russian imperial Fabergé Egg in breathtaking colors of lapis lazuli, gold and chartreuse. Set against these exquisite colors are pen and ink originals from Salvador Dali, set in white matting with polished brass inlay and framed in burnished gold. Woods of the most intricate inlays and French wrought iron and granite consoles with large blue and white porcelain ginger jars complete this fantasy. A wall of beveled and gold La Barge mirrors magnify the beauty and light of the room as in the hall of mirrors at Versailles and reflects the sparkle back to both the visitor and the hallway. On the floor, a custom carpet designed to accentuate the bold depths of color is soft underfoot and completes the spell of being inside a Fabergé egg.
